The Bruce Gandy Solo Pipe Chanter was designed and is played by Bruce Gandy who is one of the world's most highly decorated soloists. This chanter incorporates a threaded reed seat which allows ease of tuning and helps to prevent the reed from coming loose.  Each chanter carries the McCallum and Gandy Bagpipe label. The Gandy chanter is designed at a slightly lower pitch with tonal balance as a focus in design. This is a beneficial design concept in hotter summer weather.  Hole size is slightly smaller than most other chanters for playing comfort and giving a more balanced volume from top hand to bottom hand and a pleasing blend with the drones.   Small hand spacing.
