This drumhead was designed in collaboration with Stephen Creighton and his world championship-winning St. Laurence O'Toole Pipe Band drum corps. Pipe band snare drummers want a bright and articulate sound and often have to push the limits in terms of pitch and tension on their snare to get those sounds. The Evans pipe band snare head is a new option that gives drummers the ability to achieve the tone and pitch required for a championship-winning corps. This innovative drum head features a thin top laminate for increased sensitivity, a tightly-woven fabric for strength and durability and a built-in UV-inhibitor for defence against harmful sun rays. Finally, the head settles at performance pitch immediately and does not require long break-in. This drumhead is available for 14" pipe band snare drums in both standard (for Andante and Pearl) and oversized (Premier HTS 400/700/800) variations.
